FTTC NBN connecting problem

Hello,

I am an existing customer of Optus.

I bought a new tplink modem (tplink a archver vr600), i am having trouble connect it to my FTTC nbn.

I followed every step on the instruction but it just cant get connected to the internet.

Does anyone know how to get this modem to work?

I would be really appreciate,

Baz

Yes, the modem supplied by Optus works, but it is not stable, sometimes the speed goes syper fast but sometimes just crazy slow

Re: FTTC NBN connecting problem

Ok so the internet works its just a setup problem. That said FTTC can easily do 100+ Mbps. If its not then that's generally a sign of an issue in the wiring. You'd likely be better off asking Optus to request the NBN examine the issue.

Your new modem can't supply speed that is not being delivered in the first place (Its a bit like replacing a hose nozzle while the hose has a kink in it).

Thank you very much for the replying,

That did give me some clue where might be wrong.

Cheers,
