for the last few days, I've an extremely slow download speed (~50kb/s) in comparison to ~4500kb/s. I've contacted Optus several times but I only get the 'usual' reply (might be your router, modem, computer etc). I had a computer expert to check router, modem, connection etc, but all good. We came to the conclusion it is certainly Optus's fault (congestions/repairs in our area?). There are times during the day) when I have nearly my normal speed back ,but only for a very short period of time. At the moment (10 am) the speed is down to a pathetic speed of 70kb/s. The whole frustrating experience started few days ago, coinciding with the repairs of NBN on the other side of our street. Anyone here who has a similar experience (Brisbane/Paddington area)?
