Unfortunately there is no new or otherwise listed telephone No on any documentation or app. 

In that case you might have to request that they activate it. Even though the PAYG option is free, it is listed as Optional so it makes sense then that its not activated by default.

Its probably either the cable or ports at either end are damaged or faulty. Check for visible physical damage of the pins.

I will test it although there are no obvoius signs of any damage.  Used to work flawlessly prior to exchanging the Fetch Box with the new one under the NBN plan.
