On home phone *69 recall last number is not working now after the NBN switch over?

Congratulations for switching over to NBN. I hope the transition was as smooth as it could be.
Could you clarify what isn't working? Is the landline not capturing the number or is it not dialling through?
Call Return on the landline only works if it meets the below criteria.
- The number in question is not Silent or Unlisted
- The number in question is not a Overseas phone call or part of a complex business phone system
- The number in question has not manually blocked call return

I switched to nbn yesterday. *69 is not working: it says "The operation has failed".
This is despite the fact I can see the number that has just called: it is not hidden.
