4g backup

Seen previous thread on 4g backup for NBN not working & 800 batch of faulty SIM. Connected about 1 month ago, NBN outage in my area & the 4g backup doesn't come on. Went online helpdesk ask to take out & reinsert & reset from their end, still no network signal. Advised will lodge to case management team, wonder how long will that takes & if SIM card came from the same faulty batch as earlier thread.

These days who knows how long anything takes through Optus support. Your best bet is to take the SIM to a store and ask them to do a SIM replacement (not just issue you a new SIM). Make sure you tell them that its for the Ultra WiFi modem with 4G back-up. You should also confirm with them that its been activated.

Will try that. Nothing to lose anyway if not won't be able to WFH come Monday.

Exactly. Besides it was one of the long time Optus staff here that advised doing the in store swap so the process should work.
