NBN not working, Optus not taking calls, app not working

Can anyone tell me where is can get help. Our internet is not working - our speeds are between 1 and 3. I can call the helpline because this is not deemed critical and the app isn’t working to send a message for help. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Did you check for outages in your area?
https://www.optus.com.au/about/network/service-status
Click outages  Fixed Outages for all NBN connections and enter you postcode.
If you are connected to the NBN you can also check here 
https://www.nbnco.com.au/support/network-status you have to enter your full address.

If it is an NBN issue depending on where the fault lies, if it is on the NBN side of the network Optus and all other RSPs have to wait for the NBN to repair the fault.
