Why is the desktop My Account so slow, my browser (Firefox) keeps asking is i should wait as the something is slowing the browser.On Chrome it just hangs. If i go back it tells me there is no account.

It's not great to hear that you are experiencing troubles with using My Account.
Apart from trying different browsers have you tried other internet troubleshooting e.g. clearing cache, deleting temporary internet files and cookies, etc.?
