Scam Bitcoin etc emails

I am so over all these unsolicited emails that I have been receiving over the last year or so. I thought that if I marked them as junk and block them they would eventually stop - this hasn't been the case. Is the only solution to get a new email address? Appreciate your insight and thanks in advance.

Re: Scam Bitcoin etc emails

@Cohuna  I would setup a Gmail or Outlook.com account.
They are all free have better spam protection, security and larger storage capacity.
Migrate the emails you wish to keep over to the new account, update friends, direct debits etc with your new email address.
The other advantage is you not locked into an Internet provider and if you change providers it is one less thing you have to worry about.

I am an Optus user.
