I have a temporary email  password now how do I change that to a new permanent password?

You'll need to login with your temporary email. Once you're logged in you will be able to change the password in the settings. You can follow these steps here, please let me know how you go 🙂

you can change it at www.optus.com.au


just click the service number > settings > manage emails

These instructions are no longer applicable. I just had confirmation from the Optus support service that: Quote –
"I have checked with the back end team, they informed that, previously we hd the option for this, unfortunately, now there is no option to add or remove your secondary emails on the my account settings."
"If you want to add or delete the secondary emails you need to contact us.
I would like to inform, as per the updated policy, customer not able to add or delete the secondary email account from their end."
"If you want to add or delete the secondary emails you need to contact us.
As per the OPTUS updated policy we are securing the customers details."
