Why do you not allow me to determine if I require an extra 1Mb of data for $10 each time? It is this sort of forced purchase that has got providers into trouble with the ombudsman in the past. How hard can it be to give us the OPTION to buy the excess data instead of just charging. Come on Optus you can do better than this.
Hey @martsyd, I definitely do understand the sentiment. Things are continually changing in terms of the way we charge for mobile data. Data inclusions are now much more generous than ever. Although there's no way to opt out of automatic top ups, we do have a number of tools you can use to monitor your usage. We have My Account, The Optus application and SMS usage alerts. Usage alerts can be delayed by 24-48 hours however we are making changes to bring alerts closer to real time.
