porting number to optus

Hi I was told that porting of my number from another provider would take 15 minutes to 4 hours.  I have paid and completed the activation process, but it hasn't happened and it is now 7 hours.  Can someone tell me how long it will take?

Re: porting number to optus

We do have some info up on this page here. Due to the impact to our porting team, the porting time-frames can differ,

It can depend on the carrier you're porting across from i.e. same carrier ports (carriers that provide service via the Optus Network) or

external carriers (carriers that provide service via their own Network).

Seven hours - you are lucky, I have been waiting for 30 hours for my number to be ported to Optus.

Iinet have told me Optus have the code to port my number and no matter what Optus says, the delay it with them, not IiNet 😡

Hi KellieLambert,

If you’re still needing a hand, we recommend messaging us via the My Optus App. The team is available 24/7 and are ready to assist customers as quickly as possible.

If for some reason you’re unable to, if you have a social media account, please then send a PM to Optus on Facebookor a DM on Twitterwith the details mentioning you’re unable to use the My Optus app.
