Is this e-mail even legit? I just lodged an enquiry for Pixel 5 and immediately received an e-mail from

"hidden" saying my credit application has been declined without any specific reason?

Re: hidden

You'll never be given a reason from Optus. You either pass or fail a credit check - not even the staff know why. Note that getting a Pixel 5 plan exposes you to potentially $1000's of credit.

Check your credit score (and any negative issues) at a free site like creditsavvy.

As a general rule you will need to wait 3 months before reapplying to Optus again for a plan.
