WiFi Talk deactivation

7 yrs ago I complained about the lack of coverage in the Hornsby valley area of SYdney and was advise that plans were underway to have transmitters on the existing tower on the other side of the valley. and visible from here
This has STILL NOT BEEN DONE...in the interim the I have been using WiFi Talk to overcome that issue and now today I find that that capability has been discontinued. WTF!!!

Re: WiFi Talk deactivation

Hi @TopDawg. The Optus WiFi Talk app is no longer be available, however most smart phones now have this as a built in feature that is available to use to replace the app. More info can be found on our VoLTE/WiFi Calling page. I've also looked into the network status around Hornsby NSW and I can there are two new mobile towers that are forecasted to go live within the next 3 months

Re: WiFi Talk deactivation

That is not helpful and is contingent on a phone and iOS that supports that app.

As for the 3 month solution, one cannot help by be synical :

That was the same rhetoric/narrative/remedy/solution given 7 yrs ago!!!

It's Hornsby Valley  abeam Quarter Sessions Rd on the opposite ridge, not the township ....

In 3 months.....  Yeah Right!
