Hi, 10000000000GB. I foolishly missed the link you gave me to the chat line earlier. I tried it, after I found it, a couple of hours ago. I entered into it after clicking the "prepaid" button. I then spent half an hour explaining myself to two different people who didn't seem to read my messages. They kept asking me for an "order" number. I finally figured out that despite repeating several times I was seeking a prepaid account, I already had the sim, I had bought it at Woolworths, and all I needed was validation and number porting, they had a fixation that I was tring to get a post paid account. Sigh. Finally they told me they couldn't help me and I would have to contact the "prepaid team". I don't blame them, it's too easy to be a smartarse about them. The problem is with whoever is responsible for their terrible website and their customer service protocols.
I've noted your suggestion about OVO. It looks like a good one, except I was hoping to have the lad signed up by tomorrow night. Still, it's no drama. He can take my phone or his mum's. I'll keep my mind open on that. They seem to have a much more suitable plan for my son, too. Hmmm. Thanks for that, anyway.
