Using a different provider's sim

Hi, I'm just wondering if it's possible to use a different provider's sim card in a locked optus phone if they're onthe same network. CatchConnect says they are powered by the optus network and I would like to know if I can use that sim card in my prepaid optus phone without any trouble.

Thanks

Re: Using a different provider's sim

Probably not. The whole point of locking a phone is to ensure you're paying Optus a monthly amount, not someone else.

Best to ask Catch Connect though?

Re: Using a different provider's sim

I've always thought the official line was no but in reality, it worked. For the same reasoning Peter has said, they want to make as much money off of you as possible.

Only one way to find out though!
