I have the exact same issue as this chap: https://yescrowd.optus.com.au/t5/Mobile/Optus-locked-phone-not-taking-any-SIM-cards/td-p/192987
To go over my prob. I purchased a pre-paid Optus Oppo F1S phone. I tried to unlock using the optus unlock link [https://secure-unlock.com.au/ou/launch].
However, like the chap in the link above, I got a error msg saying ph was not locked to optus. Also, this site says the same regarding my IMEI [http://www.amta.org.au/pages/amta/Check.the.Status.of.your.Handset].
Please assist by referring my issue to the "backend unlock escalation team" mentioned in the link.
The phone IMEI is 863897035109797.
In case it escalates the solving of my issue, I am a long term Optus internet customer..I purchased this as a gift for my mum, so this is really frustrating her (and myself).

TPG is Vodafone. I notice that they give you cheap data for the first 6 months.
$24 Spintel looks OK. But unfortunately, all the Optus resellers have to send you by mail, and I think you have to pay $10 for the testing.
Spoken to someone on chat and they immediately provided an unlock code. Without much promtping either...Like they've had this issue multiple times.... Anyway, extremely pleased. I'll close this question out once my mum tried the code.
I even saved $80!
