Unable to network unlock

Hi,
I recently bought a 2nd hand OPPO AX5s (CPH1920) and have tried to get the unlock code using the 'Optus Mobile Device Unlock' web page but it keeps giving me the following error message; 'This mobile device is not a locked Optus prepaid mobile device'.
I have tried using a Boost SIM and get the 'This Phone is Network Locked ' message when I boot up the phone.
The Phone IMEI # is: 867876040438439
Any help would be much appreciated as I cannot get Optus Coverage at my work location and need to use Telstra or Boost when I am at work site. Thanks - Ben

Re: Unable to network unlock

Hi there Ben,

For security reasons, the unlock code is only provided to the account holder of the phone.

It sounds like you need to reach out to the Seller to hopefully arrange this. Hopefully they co-operate.

Re: Unable to network unlock

Okay thanks for confirming, as per my response to the OP you'll need to contact the seller to get it unlocked.

Re: Unable to network unlock

HI Trevoor,

Not sure if you mean you bought it brand new also from somebody else or from Optus or a place like the Post Office?

Please see How to unlock your device from the Optus network

Re: Unable to network unlock

I am having the same issue. I purchased an Optus p650 new from Kmart and used a Woolworths mobile sim.

When I try to unlock online it says my mobile is not locked to Optus, and customer service have confirmed this, however when I turn it on, it still says "Device is network locked, please enter network unlock code" this error did not come up using an amaysim sim.

Re: Unable to network unlock

Hi @KathrynRose yes, our prepaid handsets are locked to our network. If you have never requested for an unlock code then you can request one → here (online form). Amaysim uses our network for their mobile customers which is why it works.
