Did an update to Ubuntu 16.04LTS yesterday unfortunately now Ubuntu is giving the messages:
“Optus 4G Mobile” contains software intended tobe automatically started. Would you liketo run it?"
"Oops! There was a problem running this software. Unable to locate program."
Have used terminal to enter as root, navigated to the linux_mbb_install directory i.e. Optus 4G Mobile/linux_mbb_install/ but entering and executing install does not do what is required.
Optus E3372 4G USB modem has:

Have already posted to Ask Ubuntu, no resolution yet.
Made a little progress over the weekend but no Joy as yet, B annoying, Optus should get it's act together more often.
It would help if readme was in english rather than chinlish, further full installation details should be in that file.

did you ever get a response. I am also in the belly of the beast and am just trying ot find out where i can get linux drivers i can install via the cli.
Hey @rossyduck, thanks for reaching out. I'm not to sure on what you referring too when mentioning linux drivers however we would be more than happy to assist with any Optus issues you were experiencing.
