Re: Stolen phone

Hopefully you've switched on the "Find my App." You also need to switch on "Send Last Location."

The find my app comes Pre-installed on devices with iOS 12+

1) You'll need to sign in to the "Find My" web app on iCloud

2) Once you've signed in, select the device you'd like to locate

3) The approximate location of the device will show up on the map

From here, you can also enable lost mode (that'll lock your device and display your contact number on the lock screen). You can also remotely erase your device.

If you haven't enabled Find My App, there's not much you can do. You'll definitely want to contact us and ask us to suspend your service and submit an IMEI block.

Re: Stolen phone

What sort of phone was it?

Unfortunately most of the measures to track phones need you to activate the service before it is stolen. But there might be something you can do.

Definitely contact Optus as suggested. Note that once Optus disables it though you won't be able to track it (if that was possible)

Re: Stolen phone

Hello EQ,

Unfortunately there is no way to track it then. If the thief had just killed someone and the police were on the case then they might be able to triangulate a rough area (i.e. a suburb) - but for the most part that is just the stuff of movies.

Have Optus stop the service (you don't need any ID for that) and buy another phone.
