1: I am in NZ for a while and brought back from australia a spare sim card just in case my current one gets damaged etc,I notice it expires in November.Can i reserve this sim card so i can use it after the expiry Date.
2: If this is not possible Can i get some one to go to a optus shop get a new sim card and just give me the New sim card number (with out having to put it in the phone).

You can't "reserve" a SIM for later use, you either use it or you don't use it. There isn't any in-between with SIM cards.
Optus won't just hand out a SIM to anyone, they'll want to activate it on your service. To try and avoid service theft or other problems.
