Hi I'm just asking because I'm a hiker and I love going bush so my family get very worried about me and I don't want to worry them. I was asking if I can buy a sim card and data share to my existing phone and use an attatched number to it. But have it for emergency, gps and tracking purposes.

Hey @Chris95, are you wanting to have phone calls/texts, or just data?
If you purchase a Mobile Broadband SIM, this will share data with any other mobile services on the same account. They start from $15 a month with no contract.
If you wanted calls and texts, then you would need to purchase another SIM completely.
Would it be possible to put your existing SIM in a spare phone? I'm assuming your existing service won't be used while you're using the spare one?
