I write this out of sheer frustration dealing with Optus , customer service and response is very poor , on my last mobile bill I have been charged for int'l text nessages to the Faroe islands , I don't even know
the Faroe islands are( see below). Optus don't even want to know , has anone else had this experience and had any luck dealing with Optus on resolving and reversing the charges. I know its not a lot of money but imagine how many people this could happen to.

Hey @Rpolycar, sorry to hear of these unknown charges. For our system to record the number, it must of come from your device so we will need to troubleshoot.
The first thing to try would be run through your apps, you should be able to control their permissions so disable any apps that have SMS capabilities. You can then start to enable them again as you begin using apps, in time you should be able to identify which apps may be sending tests without your knowledge.
