Returning mobile handset after the contract period

Everyone please be aware that, after returning mobile hanset at the end of lease period, Optus warehouse will falsly assess the returned handset as faulty, as they expect that to be 100% same as new after 2 years of usage and will charge you $229, or you can purchase that paying $230.
Now, will anyone will choose to take Optus mobile or not, please consider this fake and false claim.

Re: Returning mobile handset after the contract period

Expected with lease plans that are no longer offered because the conditions of the plan were "too hard" for people to follow.
If the device is scratched/less then perfect then its expected that you would be charged.

General wear n tear - though to what this includes is dubious.

Did someone on Yes Crowd answer your question?

Re: Returning mobile handset after the contract period

@ekramc  Optus no longer lease phones. Leasing seemed like a good idea at the time but the customer was left at the mercy of Optus.

I am not an Optus employee. If a reply helps please give a Kudos and when an issue is solved please mark as solved.
