Replacement

Taylaaf

If I have insurance on my phone and take it into a optus shop will I get a replacement

Maybe, maybe not. Its up to the store to decide if they will / have one in stock etc.

BTW it would only be a loan phone not a permanent replacement. The broken phone needs to be sent off to be assessed.

You can sometimes arrange a loaner via LIVECHAT etc.

Hmmm, do you mean warranty?

If you intend to do an insurance claim you'll need to follow the Device Protect claims process.

If it is covered under warranty can I get a new one that day?

No,

The insurance company will need to inspect the phone and decide how they want to proceed. That can take a week or more.

As mentioned Optus can sometimes loan a phone while you wait but its not certain, just pop in and ask if you can arrange it.

Alternatively, do you have an old phone you can stick the SIM in?
