Order for a new phone stuck at "submitted" for 3 days

Hi i contracted and submitted a request for a iPhone 11 but as of now it is still "submitted". I did not have a working phone to use and i have been using my friend's phone. 

Is it normal to wait this long and when will it likely arrive?

Assuming 1 or 2 of those days were the weekend then yes it sounds normal. Did you get confirmation of your order?

Excellent then hopefully all will be approved and your new iPhone will be available some time this week. I have not read of what impact the current situation has on orders. Was anything mentioned when you purchased the phone?

3 business days for metro or longer for remote areas they say. Assuming there are no issues with the credit check or stock then by the end of this week looks good. You will get another message with order approval and tracking information.

Wait don't they conduct the credit check prior to confirming the order?

As I understand it the first message you receive is order confirmation and it's simply notification that they received your order. I could be wrong but I think it has the letter T at the beginning of the order number meaning it's temporary.
