Q: Can anyone sign up to the student offer?
A: No. Only customers who have a valid tertiary education ID can be considered. The customer must also sign up to an Optus Choice Packaged plan $49 or above, or take up a device with a Data Plan or Connected Device Plan
Q: What happens if you cancel or move plans?
A: For mobile customers, you will forfeit the discount if you cancel or or move plans (except to a $49/mth or above Optus Choice Packaged plan)
For mobile broadband customers, you will forfeit the discount if you cancel or move plans (except between month-to-month Optus Data Plans).
Once you’ve forfeited your discount, you will no longer be eligible to receive the discount again even if you change your plan to an eligible one.
If the you change to another eligible Optus Choice Packaged plan or Data plan, the discount will continue until the end of the original 12-month period.
Q: Is this offer available for a bundle discount?
A: Mobile services with the student offer can be counted as a primary service for the Multi-Service Discount, so that any additional eligible services can receive the discount if purchased at point of sale within first 30 days. Mobile broadband services with the offer are not eligible as a primary service or a bundle discount.
Q: How long is the discount available for?
A: The discount will be available for 12 months provided you don’t cancel or move to an ineligible plan (see ‘What happens if you cancel or move plans’ above).
