After recently signing up with Optus for a mobile data plan, I recieved two texts from the number 5678 with the following:
"Hi Benjamin, Optus here. We'd like to ask you 3 questions about your recent online purchase experience with us on 28/7."
"How likely are you to recommend Optus to friends and family on a scale of "0" not at all likely to "10" extremely likely? Unsub @yesopt.us/unsub"
I initially replied to the text, but in retrospect, and because I recieved the text on my Telstra pre-paid mobile, I can only assume the text is a scam soliciting unknowing sign-ups for third party billing. I would also assume that this resulted because I gave my phone number directly to the person I had spoken to using online chat.
I'm now anticipating both my Telstra and Optus bills with trepidation.
