I recently purchased a used AC800S and the back of the box states it is "LTE Cat 9 with carrier aggregation".
Today I went to my local Optus shop and had a look at the rear side of the packaging on a new AC800S. That states it is "LTE Cat 11 with carrier aggregation".
So what is the difference? Both units are the same model number and look exactly the same..
Is there an internal hardware difference, or has the software been updated??
Online info suggests Cat 9 should achieve theoretical download speeds of 450mbps, versus Cat 11 achieving theoretical download speeds of 600mbps.
One of the first tasks I did was update the softaware on my AC800S modem, so do I now have a Cat 9 or a Cat 11 device? I am really keen to know the answer!
