Opt out

When I signed up, it told me I can Opt Out of my contract after a certain time. How do I do that?

Re: Opt out

Was this a leased phone?

Edit: If it's not leased then you are probably talking about the new phone trade up. That being the case the instructions are below.

Re: Opt out

I suspect @Yeldarb is pointing to the right info. In general Optus has no early opt out options for a 24 month contract. There will still be fees to pay.

Re: Opt out

Opt out is the wrong word to use in this scenario.

As per  @petergdownload's screenshot.

We have Lease offers and Trade up offers.

Both allow you to trade your phone in after 12 months and recontract with a brand-new handset. You do need to hand the phone back in good working order.

If you were to "opt out," you'll need to pay out the remaining cost of your handset (which may differ depending on how far into your contract) The handset subsidy would not apply.
