Since switching my mobile over to Optus a week or so ago I have had trouble receiving certain text messages and notifications.
Typically these have been notifications or security texts from various logins including my Sony and banking accounts which are setup as part of a 2 stage verfication process.
My phone number is the same so I'm not sure why thyre not coming through and I had no luck talking to tech support who didnt seem to understand my problem. Does anyone here have a solution?
Erm, you could transfer your bank logins to a special cheap phone that you use exclusively for banking. Keep it on an Aldi PAYG plan. Banks that use SMS verification are idiots, IMHO.
Thats the thing, I couldnt receuve texts from sony but I could from the bank. What didnt come thru was the notification in my banking app so I had to revert to text for that.
At any rate, I really dont want to have a second phone just for verification.
