I am interested in buying the new Wireless Broadband next month but am wondering if the new B818 Modem will ever be available to buy with the plan. This is because I can see currently there is only the AC800s modem and on the dev website (https://offer.optus.com.au/dev/shop/broadband/mobile-broadband/wireless-modems/) it shows a new modem being the B818 Modem with much cheaper prices for the modems on the month-to-month plans. The B818 modem would be much better for my needs due to being able to connect many more devices.

That's right. You can now select the Huawei B818 when you sign up to either the 24 month-to-month Wireless Broadband plan (200GB & 500GB).
Right now, customers who sign up to the 500GB Wireless Broadband plan will receive 20% off their plan fees.
Month-to-month plans: One off device payment of $192
24-month plans: $0 device repayment
I just spoke with Optus chat (and shared this link) but they dont know about supplying the B818 with Home wireless plan?
They said I can supply my own as it will work, but monthly plan charge remains same?
There's been a launch delay.
We'll be posting an announcement once we're ready to roll.
normally, you can purchase out right on a Wireless month -to- month plan or $0.00p/m on a 24-month plan.
I can't reveal exact dates, but keep an eye out on the forum later this week 🙂
I've been on hiatus for the last couple weeks, but it's worthwhile mentioning.
We have a forum post on the new Huawei B818. Information on the below:
