We will be changing to another provider after being loyal Optus customers for 6 years. No social media data, data charged per kB? Get real Optus, there are better options out there. If this is how you repay loyal customers, I’d hate to see how you treat enemies, sorry!

Hi there! We are making some pre-paid changes to your service from the 29th of November 2017 and want to keep you updated.
As mentioned in the SMS we sent you, on 29 November 2017 we’ll be automatically updating your New Turbo Cap Plus plan. Any recharge that expires from 29 November 2017 will be affected by these changes. Remember any existing Credit, MyBonus and your current expiry willremain, and you’ll also get a one-off bonus 1GB of data for use in Australia which will roll over if you recharge before expiry. Heads up though, we’ll only be able to apply your 1GB bonus data if you have credit on your service.

> All customers will now be charged per KB for data usage
> Instead of your current credit being affected by your most recent recharge, each recharge you make will realise its full expiry period
> As per your current plan, you’ll be able to accumulate data to rollover up to 15GB

HOW WILL I BE AFFECTED BY THESE CHANGES?
Any current recharge you have which expires before 29th November 2017 will be unaffected by these changes. However, any recharge with an expiry that falls later than this date will keep any credit, MyBonus and expiry you already have but will no longer receive unlimited social media use in Australia. All recharges made from 29 November 2017 will have the new inclusions listed in the table above. Check your current recharge expiry by texting ‘BAL’ to 9999

Nothing, we’ll automatically change you to the updated plan on 29 November 2017.
CAN I KEEP MY CURRENT INCLUSIONS?
Unfortunately you won’t be able to. If you don’t feel that your updated plan will meet your needs, we recommend looking at our current plans available here.
CAN I CHOOSE A DIFFERENT PLAN?
You sure can! You can see all our latest Prepaid plans here.
If you do decide to change to another plan, we recommend you do so BEFORE your next recharge. Also, it is best to make the change close to your credit expiry, because only Credit will be carried over to a new plan. If you change plans, you will not be able to move back to your current plan, you will only be able to move to our in-market Prepaid plans.

WHY DID I RECEIVE 1GB BONUS?
To help you adjust to changes on your plan we’ll apply a one-off bonus of 1GB data to your service. This data will roll over if you recharge before expiry, but we can only apply the 1GB bonus if you already have credit on your service.
HOW IS MY OZDATA USED ON THE NEW TURBO CAP PLUS PLAN??
OzData is used in 1KB increments – your included OzData will be used first, then MyBonus and then Credit charged at $2 per MB.
WILL MY SERVICE BE INTERRUPTED?
No – you can keep using your phone as usual and won’t notice the switch. Once the updates have been made, we’ll send you an SMS.
WILL I STILL GET UNLIMITED SOCIAL MEDIA IN AUSTRALIA?
Unfortunately, the updated version of your New Turbo Cap Plus plan doesn’t come with unlimited Social Media in Australia.
WILL DATA BE CHARGED PER MB OR KB?
Data will be charged per KB. This means, there is no data wastage, allowing you to get the most out of your plan.
