My Mobile data from my phone is showing that I have used over 40Gb of data just on iTunes in the past 15 days, however I have not touched iTunes for anything, and I have been at home on my wifi looking at Youtube or news sites on my phone.
I am on a shared mobile data plan of 83Gb with my wife but she is not using iTunes either.
When I checked her phone data usage its quite low and nothing for iTunes.
The high iTunes data usage is only linked to my phone.
When I discovered this I looked back over the two previous months and have noted heavy usage on iTunes for those months as well, although not as high as the past 15 days.
What is going on?
I fear that someone is accessing my mobile data? and therefore I may go over for the month and be asked to pay for data i'm not using.
Do you ever plug your phone into your computer (whether that's to charge it, or otherwise).
It's possible that you're phone is completing an automatic back-up.
For example, you can automatically back up with iCloud Backup That'll let iCloud automatically back up your device each day.
To check, here's what you need to do:
Make sure that iCloud Backup is turned off in Settings > Tap your iCloud username> iCloud > iCloud Backup.
It's unlikely that someones accessing your mobile data. It's not something that really happens.
If they were able to access your data, you'd think they'd try something far more sinister i.e. accessing your Netbank
