Mobile Broadband Static IP

Hi there, I have a Business Mobile Broadband service that i've purchased a Static IP for. I'm advised that this has been provisioned correctly and the Static IP address has been provided to me. When i try to connect the mobile broadband service i'm still assigned a private dynamic IP. I am testing on several modem/routers from different vendors (D-Link & Cradlepoint) with the same results. I am using the yesbusinessip APN as advised as well as the optus/optus auth settings. I've spent numerous hours on calls and chats with tech support but nobody is able to troubleshoot the issue. Anyone have any ideas or experienced similar issues? Thanks P

Re: Mobile Broadband Static IP

Are you still getting a 10.x IP address or something else?

Are you using the Dynamic Public IP APN?

Re: Mobile Broadband Static IP

I am still getting a 10.x.x.x address.

I’m using the yesbusinessip APN as advised by support.

Ive tried different variations of APNs as well as modes i.e. 3G only, 4G only etc

Re: Mobile Broadband Static IP

Changing between 3G/4G and frequencies won't change the IP.

Try using "yesbusiness" instead of "yesbusinessip", because the static IP is a bolt on rather than a physical change.

Re: Mobile Broadband Static IP

I’ve tried that APN also but still get 10.x.x.x address assigned.

Im wondering if Optus has set it up correctly on their backend.

Re: Mobile Broadband Static IP

Then that suggests to me;

1. The order to activate the public IP has failed/is not yet complete

2. They never put in said order.

Re: Mobile Broadband Static IP

I had them re-provision the Static IP and they provided me with confirmation and a new Static IP but I still have the same issue. I'm still getting a 10.x.x.x IP assigned to the connection when it's established.

I don't know how else to troubleshoot.
