According the these two threads, Vietnam is now supposed to be a Zone 1 country with the introduction of the Optus Roaming Pass:
However on the main Optus website, Vietnam is still listed as a Zone 2 country:
So is Vietnam still a Zone 2 country or is it now a Zone 1 country for postpaid roaming? I don't want to be paying excess charges just because Optus has not provided consistently correct information.
Solved! Solved: Go to Solution.
Its a Zone 1 per the latest page: https://www.optus.com.au/for-you/mobile/plans/international-roaming/optus-roaming-pass
Vietnam is also listed as a Zone 2 country even on that page you linked to.
The link you provided says zone 2 on my end Paddy although also says it's included in the roaming pass
Just noticed this at the top of the article on Yes Crowd:
From 15 March 2020 there will also be changes to Zone 1 eligible travel destinations for customers with mobile or mobile broadband plans that include international roaming.
So it's still zone 2 for another week or 2 but you can already use the roaming pass there.
