Hi guys, is Spotify still data free streaming on the new optus mobile phone plans?
I have looked on the " Entertainment" pages on the website but can only find information about Apple music.
On the most recent plans - its gone.
Existing plans that have it keep it for now.
Paddylee is right on the money with this one.
All of our current in market plans no longer have Spotify on our entertainment inclusions. It has now been replaced with Apple Music, please be mindful that data fees apply.
You can view more details on Apple Music here, please let me know if you need help with anything else!
Not happy about this. Shot yourselves in the foot here, Optus.
I have Spotify Streaming enabled on my account because I got it as a promotoion over 2 years ago. If I was to upgrade my phone and get a new plan, would I still keep the Spotify Streaming?
When looking at the Entertainment Addons in the Optus App and looking at Music Streaming, it says that the Spotify streaming is active. It also states - "This option is available month to month & does not form part of your plan."
That sounds to me that the feature is tied to my account which wouldn't be modified if I got a new phone with a new plan.
Can someone please confirm that, if I get a new phone and plan, that I will keep the Spotify Streaming?
Sorry could you please clarify this, existing customers who have Spotify as part of their plan still keep it? If so is this limited to streaming from your phone or does it include Spotify streaming from another device (i.e. using mobile phone tethering for internet)?
Hi Andreas_B,
When you log into your My Optus app and look under Entertainment options and Music Streaming does Spotify appear? If so, does it have the information of terms of use there?
I have looked at the app and there is no 'music streaming' anymore just entertainment and it is an ad for fetch and optus sport
