I really hope someone can assist me here because even though I'm slowly losing my hair, I could end up losing it much faster after tonight.
I have been having issues with my Iphone7 and the mail setup for work.
At work we use a prehistoric dinosaur pop3 setup and as much as I loathe it, I need to work with it.
I setup my account login as needed and then the following -
Incoming Mail Server - mail.domain.com.au (port 993)
Outgoing Mail Server - mail.optusnet.com.au (no login details entered, no SSL , port 25)
For some reason I can receive incoming e-mails, but I can never send e-mails as it presents me with an error. One day I somehow managed to send an e-mail without changing any settings, the next moment it stopped sending. I cannot for the life of me work out WTF is going on and it's driving me insane.
It's worth noting that the iphone asks you for the smtp server. If I enter smtp.optusnet.com.au the entire settings page closes (crashes?) and then I go back into the settings page to find the same mail.optusnet.com.au details as before.
