Insurance replacement timeframe

48 HOURS IS  YOUR QUOTED estimate for insurance replacement.. It has been 9 days. ...  This has been most inconvenient and will go with a third party mobile insurer ONCE. i have received replacement

48 hours is the time generally required to post the replacement phone out once the claim is approved. The approval process generally takes 7+ days.

I agree its not a a great insurance option. If you have house and contents insurance then I suggest asking if they have an out of home breakages option (I use GIO to cover all my electronics away from home)

It depends on the situation:

HOW QUICKLY WILL I GET BACK ON TRACK IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG WITH THE DEVICE?

If the device is lost or stolen, subject to market availability and geographic location, a replacement device will be available to you within 2 business days of your claim being approved.

If the device is damaged, it is likely to be repaired or replaced within 5-10 business days of your claim being approved.

Optus' insurance is just a scam. Dont take it out. It is expensive and very difficult to get a claim accepted. In fact based on Melloyello's experience, dont go with Optus.
