I ordered a phone a couple of weeks ago, however i havent recieved any communication from Optus regarding whether it was approved. Do they normally send an email to let you know?

Yes, you will automatically receive a notification when your order is processed as it flows through the process.
If you feel nothing is happening, chat or call Sales for an update (as mentioned in your previous two threads on the same question).
