How to decline a call with custom text message?

Have moved to Optus after being with Telstra for 25 years. With Telstra you could reject a call to your mobile with a custom text message.  Can this be done on with Optus mobile?

This sounds more like a phone feature than an ISP feature. What phone do you have?

Hi Peter, I have the Samsung S10+. I had the S9+ with Telstra prior to coming to Optus.

Sounds like you need to enable Auto Reply.

Yup I have the Samsung Note 9 with Optus and this is definitely a phone feature. Word of warning, don't add funny reject messages if your boss also calls you regularly and you might accidentally select the wrong one....
