You can send a Text Message to 9999 saying the word Balance.
If you access the Web Interface of your Modem, you should be able to send a SMS Message.

I have new prepaid E5573 modem and I contacted Live Chat to have it added to My Account but Amanda has definitively told me that NO NEW prepaid services can be added to a My Account record. I tried to use the optus.com.au/prepaidbalance page using phones/tablets on the modem as per the instructions issued with the modem but it just redirects to a My Account logon page which is really useless.
Can you tell me how to check the usage of my Optus E5573 wifi modem? Do I need to set up a fake My Account so I can see it?
Any help would be appreciated (not a direction to contact Live Chat though, they can't even see all the prepaid phones I have on My Account)
Do you mean when you log into your My Account you cannot view your data usage?
