Help with recovery

Hi, any help would be appreaciated. Bought my mobile at Optus and decided to ask the staff to help me unlock my mobile,they said that they could not do it for me but if I put a sim card into my mobile and it accepted it I was unlocked and if it did not accept it I should port my number to the new supplier but make sure that I did not close my Optus account. I now have my number with Aldi and cannot get Optus to give me the unlock number,mainly because I cannot get anyone to talk to.. Thanks

Good news is you can do this online so no need to talk to anyone - http://www.optus.com.au/shop/support/answer/how-to-unlock-your-mobile-device-from-the-optus-network?...

 

Bad news is sometimes there's a fee although it's generally not very high

Thank you for your help Sam but I have completed that form twice already and still nothing, I now have no number with Optus but I do still have a account. It seems that dealing with Optus customer service is a little difficult.

Thank you Tano, I have what I think is a simple problem,but I have spent hours trying to get help, mostly what is suggested I have already tried. I have Opus phone bought in Optuse shop. I want to have it unlocked, I have had it six months and spent more tan @80. In the shop I was told that they could not do the unlock in store but I should try another sim to check that it is locked but do not port my number,make sure I do not close my account. so now I have my number with Aldi and I cannot get anyone unlock the Optus phone.

I've sent an email to our back-office team, they'll generate a master unlock code for us.
