So I'am a long time user Optus prepaid and for a while now I have been using Spotify every now and then on my mobile since it doesn't count towards my data usuage.
I don't use this service that regularly, however I have recently noticed I am unable to connect to either Spotify or iHeartRadio via the mobile network (I can reach these services via the app when connected to WiFi). At the same time I am able to browse webpages via Chrome normally.
I first noticed this issue on 09/07/2016 and decided it may just have been a network issue which would be resolved 'soon', however this issue persists.
I have also confirmed the same issue with family members on their phones with separate Optus accounts.
Good afternoon @eetee,
This is the first time I've come acros this issue on the forum. Can I get you to check your APN settings? You should see the following:
Android
iOs
Hi Dan_C,
I have followed your Android instructions and see the following
In case this helps the phone I am using is an Asus Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL). Screenshots from the phone information pages below...
I don't have full information on my family member's phones right now, but one is a fairly recent Samsung Galaxy and the other two are both Huwei phones bought with in the last 3 months from an Optus Store.
Regardless of the eventual outcome, thanks for your time for helping. It is much appreciated!
Hmm, that all looks fine to me! I might need to take a look at your service configuration from the back-end. Can you send us a private message with your account details?
I'll need your full name, DOB and mobile number.
You can send that through to → http://yesopt.us/pmdan
I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
