Faulty Modem

After running through the steps advised in the message Ap a few weeks ago, it was decided that my device is faulty (wifi works but I cannot access the password and network name after initial setup) so I should take it in store to get a warranty replacement. My problem is that the nearest optus store is 200k away. Why can’t I be posted a new device and return post my current modem.

It may be possible to organise a return satchel for you in this case, then you can send back the faulty device to be assessed under warranty. You can discuss this with our Tech Support team via the My Optus app, or you can send our social media team a message on Facebook or Twitter.

I'm assuming that you're referring to a 4G modem, so I don't know if they are treated differently to Optus' NBN modems, but with Optus' NBN modems they definitely just mail you out a replacement.
