It's not clear as to the reason why your service is disconnected and for how long it has been in this state?
Either way you would need to contact Optus directly to find out if it is possible.
Oh it's been 6 months? Chances are it's been through the quarantine process and the number has been allocated to somebody else.
Have you tried dialling the number? If you get an indication that someone doesn't have it yet it won't hurt to contact Optus to try your luck.
