I've been getting charged data from iheartradio, amazon and a VPN service? I've been checking my data usage breakdown and they seem to be showing up every month and ive never used any of these services or any of there affiliated programs why is this?

How much data are these services using and have you done a security scan to check for malware and viruses? It would appear to me that the promotion of VPN services is at plague proportion with so many apps bundled with these services that one never knows what they are installing when trying out different apps. Amazon I read recently is also a large content delivery network and subsequently like the post about Akamai could be providing services to anyone.

Amazon not so much but iheartradio taking as much as 300mb per day and a program called hotspot shield VPN up to 400mb per day!! I run a security check at least a couple times a week and nothing shows up as a problem or threat ever.

Is this an Apple device as there was some discussion on the link below about iheartradio when podcasting. I would have a good look through your installed apps as the amount of VPN data you are using would definitely suggest the VPN program is actually running. Jump on the second link below and see what location it gives you. Doing this will tell you if you are using Optus or a VPN.

I have a Samsung galaxy s10e. I have deleted every app that I dont use and there was nothing and has never been a VPN service on any of my phones, that's what I dont understand. Did the location IP site check you've posted and says optus Clovelly NSW for my IP when using my mobile data

Hmm 700MB a day by 2 sevices that you dont use and your IP is not showing any bizarre location. Amazon I could understand but not the other 2. I think I would be having a word with support as they may have a better understanding of what is going on. If it was my phone I would probably do a factory reset and testing the data usage before adding any new apps.
