Just wondering. Do I need to have 'Data Roaming' setting turned on on my iPhone when in Australia. Typically, I turn it off when oversease, but have always turned it on again (along with 'Mobile data') when I return to Australaia.
Googling suggests to turn it on in Australia suggest it may be used when away from 'Home Network' but I suspect it's a furphy. I assume if I can get 4G I get internet access via Mobile Data and 'Data Roaming' is irrelevant. Is that correct?
Solved! Solved: Go to Solution.
You would only need to turn on data roaming on your device when you are overseas and would like to access data from the Australian SIM in your phone.
As such, whilst you are in Australia, you do not need to turn on data roaming to access mobile data.
Hope the above information helps. 🙂
