Data - Emails

I’m on a new 100gb plan - however everyday I am receiving 3+ emails saying you’ve added an extra 1gb of data at a cost of $10.

The app app says I’ve only used 4gb but the emails suggest I’ve used 15gb +

what can i do. These emails are annoying and worrying.

Re: Data - Emails

Emails? Usually Optus sends usage updates via SMS?

I agree its concerning but it does sound like the a glitch.

Have you set your phone to limit downloads after a certain point?

Suggest you contact LIVECHAT and find out what Optus central thinks.

Re: Data - Emails

I’ve contacted live chat and the call centre - none can help.

All keep saying they are a glitch, however it doesn’t give me much confidence when they say I’m spending $10 each time.

This is the email

Hi there,

Just letting you know you've exceeded the limit of your extra 1GB data inclusion. Keep in mind it’s for usage in Australia and the alert may be up to 48 hours old.

Re: Data - Emails

Bit weird. It suggests the warning is for going over a 1Gb top up already given (not your original quota).

Once again, have you set your phone to limit data usage locally?

Perhaps take a screen shot of your app usage each day just because. Keep an eye on it.

It still sounds like a computer glitch but do what you can to document what you are getting along the way.
