My bill tells me to pay on 20 March but an email received today states that if I don’t pay within 5 days, my service will be restricted - wt?!

Yep confusing indeed. Have a word with billing and accounts on the live chat below and ask them what the story is.
Just sorted it out with Optus billing. A restriction reminder email should not have been emailed to me as my bill shows due date to pay as 20 March which is correct..
