Can't change prepaid plan?

Every time I try to change my prepaid plan from my account it brings me here:

Which is just a support question/answer page. 

 

Tried different devices and browsers?

 

I'm confused how I change my plan!!

Well, judging by that page it’s bringing you to, the only option is to change plans by SMS.

Hm, unless something has changed in terms of functionality, I've always used the following method:

 

 

I'll chat to the team responsible for the updates on the Help & Support page. 

 

My Account

  1. Log in with your My Account username (not your phone number) and your password
  2. Select your Prepaid service to see its balance & expiry date
  3. In the 'Service Summary' tab, click the 'Change My Prepaid Plan' link
  4. Select a new plan and click 'Continue'
  5. Read and check the box if you agree to the Terms & Conditions
  6. Click 'Submit'

USING YOUR MOBILE

Use Optus SMS Menu: Text 'MENU' to 9999 and follow the prompts

 

There's also our Live Chat team, they'll be able to put through the change in a matter of minutes.

 

Keep in mind - Any unused credit will not roll over onto the next plan
